Cécile and I had the privilege of being present at the Kairos Centre residential assembly. It was a rich and interesting meeting. It helped us to realise how important the Chapter General at Szombathely had been for the Congregation and for the Associates. Their role in the Congregation has been fully acknowledged and they are now called to work, in their own place but together with the Sisters, in the spirit of Pierre Fourier et Alix Le Clerc. It was great too to be again with Cathy and Margaret. We worked together on what was said about the Associates in the Chapter document. At Szombathely, John, for the British Associates, had spoken about the need for better communication, national and international, between the Associates. We took up the subject again at the joint meeting of French and Belgian Associates we had last week-end in Reims. There too, our main subject was the Chapter General and its conclusions. And there too, the Associates from both countries said how they appreciated the Congregation's desire to share with them the spirituality of the Founders and to consider the Associates as partners. But as Associates, we have still a lot to do to know one another better and try to work together. Sabine Didelot
